Get PEP and PrEP

Heart to Hand also offers PEP and PrEP to prevent or stop HIV after coming in contact with HIV or being at high risk for exposure. PEP is an emergency medicine that can stop HIV infection if taken within 72 hours after coming in contact with HIV. Learn more about PEP here. But PrEP is used to prevent HIV by people who are at high risk for being exposed through sex or injection drug use.

Insurance You Can Use or How to Pay if You Don’t Use Insurance

Most insurances are accepted. Insurances you can use to get tested include: Aetna, Amerigroup, Carefirst, CIGNA, Evergreen, Humana, United Healthcare, Medicare, Maryland Medicaid, Washington DC Medicaid, Railroad Medicare, and Tricare.

An $80 fee is charged for uninsured or self-pay individuals to include all tests listed above. This fee also includes treatment for positive results. Additional tests may be provided for a different fee amount per test. Please call if you would like to know the cost of testing not previously listed.
