Why should you get tested? And get tested for what? Getting tested regularly for sexually transmitted infections is an important step towards being healthy. Testing keeps you in control of your health.

Heart to Hand offers you free or low-cost testing for several STIs. Some tests are walk in and others are by appointment only – you choose what’s best for you.

Tests You Can Get at Heart to Hand

Heart to Hand tests for the following STIs:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • HIV
  • Syphilis
  • Trichomoniasis

  • STI Testing
    Day: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
    Time: 10 AM – 3 PM
  • Walk-in HIV Rapid Testing for Free
    Day: Monday – Thursday
    Time: 10 AM – 2 PM

How Often You Should Get Tested

If you are having sex, get tested every six months to know your STI status.


Insurance You Can Use or How to Pay if You Don’t Use Insurance

Most insurances are accepted. Insurances you can use to get tested include: Aetna, Amerigroup, Carefirst, CIGNA, Evergreen, Humana, United Healthcare, Medicare, Maryland Medicaid, Washington DC Medicaid, Railroad Medicare, and Tricare.

An $80 fee is charged for uninsured or self-pay individuals to include all tests listed above. This fee also includes treatment for positive results. Additional tests may be provided for a different fee amount per test. Please call if you would like to know the cost of testing not previously listed.
